Basic Design

The draft design of a ship can be described as the set of processes that begin with a feasibility analysis continues as phases of conceptual and contractual designs, connected with shipbuilding activities of production engineering and finally ends after inspection , testing, verification and certification operations have concluded .

At the stage of basic conceptual design phases and contractual design, which consume significant time in the draft design of the ship are included. Production Engineering (Detail)

At this stage of the project preparation of all documents and information needed for the construction of the ship, whose basic design is finished building is done. D systems; at this stage a model of CAD / CAM including general arrangement, hull structure, the P & amp develops. The data for the machines working with numeric information (eg, steel cutting CNC machine code) and all documentation for hull erection work.

Seatrial and Delivery

Tilt Test

By using a predefined procedure and based on the data of the ship, the crew of CAMSA performs the tilt test, a study conducted through the experiment inclination, which is held & nbsp; to determine the transverse metacentric height and position of the center of gravity of a ship in its unladen condition. The results of this experiment are analyzed by the shipyard and presented in a report to be delivered to the customer or authorized body for approval.


The sea trials protocols are prepared for the measurement of the total return of the ship and work performance of a specific computer. According to these procedures, the performance of the ship doing experiments to test the speed, maneuvers (calculation stop turning maneuver, zig-zag, bow thruster) capacity, noise and vibration characteristics, fuel consumption level is measured etc .

Additionally different types of tests are carried out to determine the operation of the ship's equipment as the main engine, generators, electrical panels, communications equipment and navigation, anchors and anchoring equipment.

CAMSA prepares a final report with the results of the sea trials and records of approval from the competent bodies.
